Racing This Saturday At Dillon Motor Speedway

Dillon Motor Speedway continues to celebrate its 50thanniversary on Saturday, May 24 as the cars take to the track for the Herald Office Systems 200.

Divisions competing on Saturday night include the Late Models, $1,200 to win; Chargers, $400 to win; Street Stocks, $500 to win; Pure Stock Fours, $200 to win; and Mini Cup Stocks, $100 to win. If 19-plus Late Models show, then the purse will be bumped up to $1,500.

Practice kicks off at 4 p.m., followed by qualifying at 6 p.m. and the race will start at 8 p.m. Tickets are only $12, and kids 11 years old and younger get in for free.

On Saturday, May 31 the speedway will host the Street Stock National Invitational double purse race. A lucky Street Stock driver who attends the race on May 31 will be chosen in a bingo-style drawing to win a guaranteed starting spot in the July 5 race. The lucky driver will also have a chance to win an extra $2,000, making the race on July 5 a possible $4,000 pay day. This will be the first of three Mid-Atlantic Championship races.
