Corey LaJoie Looks to Make it Four out of Five in ARCA Finale

Just two short weeks ago, Concord, N.C. native, Corey LaJoie was celebrating his third victory in just four starts in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards at Kentucky Speedway. This weekend he will go for four out of five in the ARCA Racing season finale at Kansas Speedway. If he’s successful, he will surpass the series’ most prolific driver, Frank Kimmel, for the most wins this season.

This will be LaJoie’s first start at Kansas Speedway, but don’t let that fool you, all of his previous ARCA wins this season came on tracks one-and-a-half miles or larger. He also has a knack for winning on new tracks; his three wins this season were on tracks that he had never raced before. The 21-year old driver’s average finish this season is 1.75.

LaJoie will sport a new look on his No. 17 Ford Fusion with Uncle John’s Pride Country Smoked Sausage as a primary sponsor for the weekend. The brand is owned by parent company, Crofton & Sons, Inc., a smoked meat and sausage processor located in Tampa, Florida. The Crofton family has been producing the Uncle John’s Pride brand of quality, smoked and fresh products for over three decades, by three generations of Crofton’s.

Comments from No. 17 Uncle John’s Pride Country Smoked Sausage Ford Fusion Driver Corey LaJoie:

“We feel really confident going into Kansas. Like I said before, we seem to do really well at tracks that I haven’t been to. We have two wins on mile-and-a-half tracks this year and what we learned from them will be the key to getting back to victory lane this weekend.

“We’ve worked really hard this year, and we’ve come really far and I’m so proud of that. It means even more when people take notice of that. I’m really excited to have a new partner with us this weekend with Uncle John’s Pride Smoked Sausage. I think we have a good chance of making it four out of five and showing them what it’s like to go to victory lane.

“If we can pull off the win this weekend, I will have the most wins out of any ARCA driver in 2013. If you think about it, that’s a really cool accomplishment, especially to surpass someone like Frank Kimmel who dominates the series. It’s just another reason that I’m so proud of our efforts this year and everything that we’ve accomplished.”
