Garrett Smithley scored one of his best runs of the Xfinity Series season in May at Charlotte Motor Speedway, rolling in with a 15th-place finish.
This weekend he looks for more.
Smithley will drive the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet in Friday night’s Drive for the Cure 300 at CMS.
“We had a good run in May at Charlotte,” Smithley said. “I’ve been looking forward to going back there. I think we can step it up from the previous race. I’m sure we’ll have a good car.”
He also has raced in a Camping World Truck Series event at CMS, making Friday’s race his third at the track.
