VeteransLodge.com to Sponsor Koch at Bristol

Blake Koch will have a new primary sponsor aboard his Toyota Camry this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway. VeteransLodge.com will support Koch’s No. 24 SR2 Motorsports-fielded entry in Jeff Foxworthy’s Grit Chip 300 on Saturday, March 16.

Veterans Lodge villages include a state of the art health care facility, counseling and rehabilitation facilities, modern recreational programs, wellness care educational program, workforce and job training programs and a housing component for the veterans and their families. The organization works in conjunction with the Veterans Administration, researchers and local hospitals, to continually update programs that deliver the best care to veterans and meet the goal of returning them to an active and productive civilian life.

Koch has three Nationwide Series starts at Bristol. His best finish is 23rd-place, which he achieved in 2011. SR2 Motorsports has competed in two Nationwide events at Bristol, producing a pair of top-25s. Its best finish was 22nd, which came in last season’s August race with Benny Gordon behind the wheel.

Blake Koch comments on racing at Bristol:

“I’m really excited to have VeteransLodge.com on our Toyota Camry this week. They’re a great organization that helps support and rehabilitate our war heroes. I’m proud to have them as part of our team at Bristol.

“Bristol is awesome. It’s flat out awesome. That’s really the only way that you can describe it. It’s a track that I have a good feel for. I know how I want the car to handle. I have a lot of confidence heading into the weekend. Last year I had a really good run going and I blew an engine. I’m really optimistic about this weekend and looking forward to it.

“Even though the track is back to ‘old Bristol’, it doesn’t change my outlook on the weekend. My game plan is the same as it’s always been. It’s still a race. We’ll want to qualify the best we can and try to finish it in one piece. The grooves are more limited now, but that doesn’t affect me too much because I try to make my car work on the bottom. Hopefully I won’t be running up top where they made the change. I’ll still have to be very patient and strategic. That part will never change at Bristol.”
