The Motorsports Group expands facility, expanding operations into the high performance engine production

The Motorsports Group announced today that it has officially entered into the high performance engine production and maintenance program to become stock car’s newest engine competitor.

“For the past few years, we have been focused on building an engine program for the NASCAR Nationwide and Camping World Truck series, as well as the ARCA Series,” said Curtis W. Key Sr., Owner, The Motorsports Group.” “We are excited to enter the racing engine market with our program, we look forward to providing quality engines for competitive marketplace.”
The Motorsports Group will continue to field cars in the Nationwide series in 2013, under this in-house motor program. This allows TMG to constantly monitor this program throughout the year and continue to build this program from the season’s notes.

“We did a test with our engines last year in the ARCA series with Chad Boat and had great success as Boat finished 4th at Iowa and 8th at ORP, “said Key. “With our engines in our car throughout this year we will make the necessary improvements to make our program stronger.”

The program currently has Chevrolet RO7’s and SB2 engines ready for the Camping World Truck Series and the ARCA Series for teams to lease. The in-house program allows these series participants an affordable engine program for competition in these divisions.
