Loris Hezemans ready for 3rd NASCAR Xfinity appearance this year on the Brickyard of Indianapolis Motor Speedway

After two oval races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series earlier this year, Loris Hezemans will be at the starting line-up this coming weekend on the road course of the world-famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This race is also dedicated to obtaining the NASCAR Cup Series license in order to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series next year.

For Hezemans, it is not the first introduction to a circuit in the United States. In 2019, he made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at the Road America circuit where he even raced in 16th place on the final restart. A crash in front of him eventually prevented a fantastic top 20 finish in his debut race. Hezemans is also familiar from Europe with driving on road courses, something that should give him an advantage in this race.

Loris will once again be racing for the Reaume Brothers Racing team. The 2019 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series champion and current leader in this championship will get behind the wheel of their #33 Chevrolet Camaro.

“I am very excited to be driving in my first road course race of the year in the 2021 NXS season with Reaume Brother’s Racing. The addition of practice together with the fact that my racing experience is mainly on road courses makes it a great event to look forward too. The goal of the weekend is to at least come back with a top 15 finish, by driving smart and applying my road course knowledge to the track.”

The Pennzoil 150 at the Brickyard will be run on Saturday, August 14. The green flag will be waved around 22:00 CET.
