Barberitos Southwestern Grille to Sponsor RAB Racing, John Wes Townley in NASCAR Races at Dover

Barberitos Southwestern Grille and Cantina will partner with RAB Racing with Brack Maggard and driver John Wes Townley for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and Nationwide Series races at Dover International Speedway June 2 and 3.

“I couldn’t be happier to have Barberitos on both our Toyota Tundra and Toyota Camry at Dover,” said Townley. “It’s my favorite track on the circuit. With both the Camping World Truck Series and Nationwide Series races there this weekend, I really wanted to find a way to run both events. Thankfully, Barberitos stepped up and made it all possible. They’re a great restaurant, and I look forward to representing them at Dover.”

Barberitos has 26 restaurant franchise locations in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Florida. The Athens, Ga.-based restaurant franchising company recently announced plans to open an additional 15 locations.

“Barberitos is honored to sponsor RAB Racing and John Wes Townley,” said Downing Barber, founder of Barberitos Franchising, Inc. “We at Barberitos are big fans of NASCAR, and we are excited about seeing Pepe, the Barberitos mascot, race around Dover.”

The Watkinsville, Ga.-native made his Nationwide Series debut at Dover in 2008, and posted a career-best eighth-place qualifying effort at the one-mile concrete oval in his first full season of Nationwide Series competition the next year. He has made one Nationwide Series start in 2012, at Talladega Superspeedway, where he recorded a 15th-place finish.

“It’s always great when you can bring a new sponsor into the sport,” said Robby Benton, owner of RAB Racing with Brack Maggard. “I’m looking forward to promoting Barberitos in two of the major series in the same weekend. I think John’s enthusiasm toward the Dover track, which intimidates most, coupled with his track record there should make for a great weekend.”
