AdvancePierre Foods Donates $10,000 to Hermie and Elliott Sadler Foundation for Autism Awareness

As part of its commitment to give back to the community, AdvancePierre Foods and its Pierre Drive Thru brand—a new line of flavorful, high quality hamburgers and chicken sandwiches—presented a $10,000 check to Elliott Sadler on Saturday at the Auto Club Speedway track prior to the start of the Nationwide Series race. Sadler accepted the donation to the Hermie and Elliott Sadler Foundation to help raise autism awareness and support initiatives that improve educational opportunities for children and their families.

“AdvancePierre Foods supports Elliott Sadler and his foundation for the strides being made to help children with autism. We are proud to present this $10,000 check to help further the foundation’s work to find a cure for this developmental disorder,” said Trey Taylor, vice president of marketing for AdvancePierre Foods’ Brands division. “We are thrilled to have Pierre Drive Thru sandwiches sponsor Elliott Sadler and the No. 2 Chevrolet Impala. We wish Elliott much luck for a successful racing season.”

The No. 2 Pierre Drive Thru sandwiches car displayed a special puzzle piece decal, the symbol of autism awareness.

“It is an honor to have a sponsor like Pierre Drive Thru sandwiches come on board this past weekend in Fontana to not only support me and the No. 2 team, but also support a cause that is near to my heart,” said Sadler. “My brother Hermie and I created this foundation when his daughter was diagnosed with autism. Through our foundation, we hope to bring awareness and support research for the cause. Thank you to Pierre Drive Thru sandwiches for this generous donation.”

Elliott Sadler and the No. 2 Pierre Drive Thru sandwiches team used the Chassis No. 89 from Richard Childress Racing’s NASCAR Nationwide Series stable. This chassis was acquired during the merger with Kevin Harvick Inc., and revamped throughout the off-season.
