Champions will go head-to-head as Roush Fenway’s Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Trevor Bayne go head-to-head with fellow Valvoline NextGen driver and NHRA Fuel Funny Car Champion Jack “Fast Jack” Beckman at SpeedZone on Friday afternoon.
“We are looking forward to taking on “Fast Jack” at the track,” said 2011 Nationwide Series Champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr. “Jack’s an NHRA champion and a fellow Valvoline NextGen driver, so we are looking forward to hanging out and having a little fun with him at the track.”
The segment, which debuts 2012’s Ricky&Trevor – the followup to last season’s award winning RickyvsTrevor.com – will air in a prerace segment on ESPN during Saturday’s Nationwide Series race from Auto Club Speedway.
“Ricky and I had a drag racing competition last season in Charlotte,” said 2011 Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne. “That was a lot of fun, so maybe Jack can give up a few pointers on that style of racing and we’ll be more than happy to help him around the oval. It should be a lot of fun.”
