“We were just way too tight all day in our No. 2 Tunity Chevrolet Camaro. The corners gave me a lot of trouble throughout the race. I just couldn’t get the nose to point in the turns like I wanted and found our Camaro being pushed up the track instead. That final adjustment we made when the caution came out with just a handful of laps to go was the best one we made during the race. It really freed up our Chevrolet and woke up the front end like I needed it to in order to fight for a final couple of spots. We made some improvements as a team this weekend. We’re definitely heading in the right direction, we just need to go review a couple of things before our next intermediate track.”

“It was quite the day in Las Vegas. We missed a little bit today on the setup of the Go Green Equipment Chevrolet. We struggled with a really tight-handling condition. We did make positive changes throughout the second half of the race but we were never able to get quite where we needed to be. On the last restart, I took it three-wide in the middle but I stayed there too long and lost momentum. I feel confident in this team and I can’t wait to get back in this Xfiniity car.”

“This was a racetrack we knew coming to that we would show our strengths. I’m happy with the gains the South Point Hotel & Casino team made in practice and all throughout the race. We got our race car better, and it was good to get a couple of strong restarts there at the end. I’m glad we were able to get the South Point Hotel & Casino Chevrolet up to a sixth-place finish here today. Hopefully it’s something we can build on starting the West Coast swing. We’ll take it and roll to Phoenix for next week’s race at ISM Raceway.”
