Garrett Smithley, driving the No. 0 JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet Camaro, finished 32nd in Friday night’s Virginia529 College Savings 250 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Richmond Raceway.
After starting the race in the 39th position, Smithley struggled with a tight racecar most of the night. With only 3 caution flags in the race, there were few opportunities to make adjustments to the cars.
“I’m proud of my No. 0 crew for hanging in there,” Smithley said. “It was a tough race for us, but the guys made great changes to the car during the few pit stops we had.”
The series moves on to Chicagoland Speedway for the Chicago 300 on Saturday, September 16th.
