NXS: Kyle Larson Captures OneMain Financial 200 Pole

Kyle Larson will start on the pole in his No. 42 Chevrolet for Chip Ganassi Racing in Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Dover International Speedway. Larson posted a 22.864, 157.453 mph. to capture his third career XFINITY Series pole.

The native from California enters the weekend looking to capture his second win in the series in 2017. Through five starts in 2017, Larson has four top five and five top 10 finishes.

Ryan Blaney will start beside Larson in the No. 22 Fitzgerald Glider Kits Ford. Blaney, who won last weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway, posted a 22.934, 156.972 mph. in the final round of qualifying. The weekend at Dover will mark Blaney’s sixth XFINITY Series start of the season.

Daniel Suarez will round out the top three starters in Saturday’s OneMain Financial 200 at Dover. Suarez, who won at Dover the last time out in October of 2016, posted a 22.942, 156.917 mph. in the final round.

Series points leader Elliott Sadler will start ninth. Sadler enters the race sitting six points ahead of teammate Justin Allgaier. Allgaier will start 12th on the leaderboard later Saturday afternoon. Byron, sitting 57 points behind teammate Elliott Sadler, sits in third and 57 points back. Byron will start eighth.

With 40 cars on the weekend entry list, there were no DNQ’s.
