Gdovic Returns to NASCAR XFINITY Series Racing at Phoenix International Raceway

Reigning Lamborghini Gallardo World Champion, Brandon Gdovic, will return to the seat of the No. 46 TCC #CultureOfGood Chevrolet Camaro for the Ticket Galaxy 300 Phoenix International Raceway (PIR) on Saturday, November 12th, 2016. Gdovic, who is hot off the heels of the North American leg of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Series season, will trade his sports car in for a stock car this weekend for his XFINITY Series debut at PIR.

TCC and #CultureOfGood rejoin forces with Precision Performance Motorsports and Gdovic after previously adorning the No. 46 Chevrolet Camaro at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Culture of Good is a cultural movement, launched in 2013, by TCC Verizon Authorized Retailer committed to “doing good” in the communities where their stores are located. All efforts of good happen on a local level by the employees who help lead what has become a grass roots movement changing lives and communities in the US. Local is what the Culture of Good is all about. Partnerships happen with local organizations by Donate a Dollar, the in-store donations that are given by customers. Each dollar given goes right back into that community to further efforts to do good. Employees are encouraged to give their time to volunteer with any local organization that quarterly donations are given to.

Since Gdovic last competed in the NASCAR XFINITY Series, the 24-year-old has kept busy. Gdovic travelled to Circuit of the Americas with the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Series to close out the North American leg of the 2016 season. Sitting comfortably in second place in the driver’s point standings, Gdovic will return to Valencia, Spain later this month to defend his title as the North American and World Champion. Brandon enjoys the challenges of sports car racing, but is looking forward to returning to the XFINITY Series.

“I am excited to head out west to compete at Phoenix International Raceway for the first time,” said Gdovic. “I have been looking forward to racing there ever since the update to the dog leg. I am glad to get another XFINITY Series race under my belt before the 2017 season and look forward to spreading the word about TCC’s Culture of Good campaign as well”.

Veteran crew chief Mark Setzer will lead the XFINITY Series effort at Phoenix International Raceway. Setzer has served as Gdovic’s crew chief for the past two seasons.

“As we head to Phoenix International Raceway, I couldn’t be happier with all the work the Precision Performance Motorsports crew has put into these cars over the past few weeks,” said Setzer. “I’m so excited to take Brandon to his first XFINITY Series race at Phoenix. We’re looking to build upon the great race we had there last year with Anthony Kumpen, the NASCAR Euro Series Champion. Brandon has continued to impress and to gain confidence and experience with every race we get to run, so I’m looking for this weekend to be no exception.”
