Yeley Secures 17th Place Finish

JJ Yeley, competing in the NASCAR XFINITY Series O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge, finished 17th at Texas Motor Speedway. Yeley qualified the No. 44 Zachry Toyota in 20th position to start the 200 lap event. Early in the race, Yeley relayed the car was free on entry and tight on exit. Crew Chief Frank Kerr utilized four pit stops throughout the 200 laps to make adjustments to the Zachry Toyota. The handling of the Zachry Toyota improved but became a little tight under long green flag runs. Yeley consistently ran in the 17th position the last half of the race and stayed out under caution in an effort to gain track position and be posted back on the lead lap. Yeley’s persistence and determination paid off securing a 17th place finish at Texas Motor Speedway.

Unfortunate Circumstances Results in 36th Place Finish for DiBenedetto
 
Unfortunate circumstances ended the day early for TriStar Motorsports driver Matt DiBenedetto in the No. 14 Superior Essex Toyota at Texas Motor Speedway. DiBenedetto qualified 22nd to start the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge. Soon after race start, he relayed he was battling a loose handling condition with the Superior Essex Toyota. Crew Chief Bryan Smith called DiBenedetto to pit under green flag conditions on lap 48 for four tires, fuel, air pressure, wedge, track bar adjustments; returning to the field 27th. DiBenedetto stayed consistent running in the top-25 of the field. Making two more pit stops for adjustments, DiBenedetto unfortunately experienced a valve stem failure causing the tire to loose air pressure which ended his day with 129 laps complete and finishing 36th in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway.
