An electrical issue sent Ryan Preece to pit road early in Saturday night’s VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300 at Kentucky Speedway.
Preece lost laps while the JD Motorsports team tried to fix the problem. He returned to the track but finished 30th in the second race of the season at Kentucky.
“We bounced back and made up some ground,” Preece said. “But the problem kept us off the track too long. We’ll move on to Dover.”
Preece, driving the G&K Services/Hiller Chevrolet, completed 167 laps. He remains 17th in Xfinity Series points.
