Garrett Smithley is back for another shot at Kentucky Speedway.
The Xfinity Series rookie driver has raced twice at Kentucky – once in Xfinity and once in the Camping World Truck Series.
In July this year, Smithley finished 24th at the 1.5-mile track in an Xfinity race. On Saturday, he’ll be driving the Mubea/Mark Spaulding Construction Chevrolet for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller.
“Kentucky is a fast track, and one I really like,” Smithley said. “It’s one of those tracks you can move around on and find a better line. We’re looking to improve on our July run there.”
Smithley enters the race 18th in Xfinity driver points.
