Genesis Brake Light Systems Partners with JR Motorsports

JR Motorsports announced today the addition of Genesis Brake Light Systems, a provider of state-of-the-art brake light technology, as a team partner.  Genesis Brake Light Systems will have primary placement on JRM’s No. 88 Chevrolet with driver Alex Bowman in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (July 16), and associate placement for the remainder of 2016.

Based in Tucson, Ariz., Genesis Brake Light Systems utilizes pulse width modulation and pre-programmed patterns to increase braking awareness among drivers. Its systems serve as a rear-end collision countermeasure, helping alert other drivers to a braking or stopped vehicle with its Sure Stop Technology™®.

“It’s a privilege to bring new partners like Genesis Brake Light Systems into the JR Motorsports fold and into our sport,” said Kelley Earnhardt Miller, general manager of JR Motorsports.  “Their systems are all about keeping drivers aware and safe, and they’ll have a strong avenue to spread that message with Alex and the 88 team.”

This weekend’s race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway marks Bowman’s fifth NXS start for JRM in 2016.  In his previous four starts with the team this season, he’s earned two top-five and four top-10 finishes with one pole.

“It is going to be great having Genesis Brake Light Systems on the No. 88 Chevrolet Camaro this weekend in New Hampshire,” said Bowman.  “The Genesis Brake Light System is a distinctively different product that continues to protect passengers of vehicles while on the road. I’m looking forward to representing them and getting back behind the wheel in Loudon.”

The No. 88 team is currently second in the NXS owner standings.  The rotating driver lineup including Bowman, Cole Custer, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Chase Elliott and Kevin Harvick has tallied two wins, eight top-five and 14 top-10 finishes in 2016.
