Garrett Smithley hopes to build on last week’s run at Atlanta as he moves on to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for Saturday’s Boyd Gaming 300 Xfinity Series race.
The race will mark Smithley’s first run at the 1.5-mile track and his third career Xfinity event.
“JD Motorsports and I had a great first showing together at Atlanta,” Smithley said. “With a 24th-place finish, I think that’s a really good place to build from. I work well with Danny Gill (crew chief), and the more the team works together the better we can be.
“I’ve never been to Las Vegas Motor Speedway, so I’m looking forward to getting on track and up to speed fast.”
Smithley will race with associate sponsorship from Michael J. Cane, J.D. Tax Advisor this week.
