Landon Cassill scored a 16th-place finish in Saturday’s Ford EcoBoost 300, the final race of the Xfinity Series season.
Cassill turned in one of the strongest runs of his season, starting 20th, running as high as 13th and rolling home 16th over Homestead-Miami Speedway’s 1.5-mile course.
“It was a pretty good way to close out the year,” Cassill said. “We had a good car and stayed with the lead group most of the afternoon. I had fun working with Johnny and his guys again this year. I think we had a good effort and a good season.”
Cassill, who drove the Florida Lottery Chevrolet Saturday, finished 18th in Xfinity driver points, having scored two top 10s during the year.
