Completing his season in a victorious style, Chris Buescher captured the 2015 NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship with Roush Yates Engines after finishing 11th at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
In only his second full-time season in the series, Buescher and the No. 60 Fastenal Ford Mustang entered the weekend with a mere 18-point lead over defending series champion Chase Elliott.
In 2014, Buescher finished his full-time rookie season with a seventh-place finish in standings.
“I am blessed to be here,” Chris Buescher said. “It is so cool to be able to pull it off. It is so nice to have everybody out here to support us and be with us for this accomplishment.”
The 2015 driver’s championship was due to Buescher’s impressive performance this season with two NASCAR Xfinity victories, 11 top-fives and 20 top-10s.

Buescher’s championship follows the Team Penske owners’ championship secured by the end of the race at Texas Motor Speedway along with the NASCAR Xfinity Series MAHLE Clevite Engine Builder of the Year Award – both with Roush Yates Engines.
