Ross Chastain continued his rookie Xfinity Series season in fine fashion Saturday, finishing 16th in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway.
Chastain has scored 18 top-20 runs this season. He finished on the lead lap again Saturday.
Chastain qualified 24th and moved up through the field, racing as high as 12th.
“It was a good day for us,” Chastain said. “We raced up there with the front group and matched them for most of the day. Good to come home on the lead lap with another strong finish.”
Chastain stayed 15th in Xfinity driver points.
