Ross Chastain turned in one of the best performances of his rookie season Saturday, finishing 14th in the Kansas Lottery 300 Xfinity Series race at Kansas Speedway.
Chastain finished on the lead lap as the race was extended to 204 laps by a green-white-checkered finish. He gained four spots over the final 14 laps.
“Our car got stronger as the day went on,” Chastain said. “We were able to make up some spots there near the end. It was a great day for the RACEGIRL Chevrolet.”
Chastain stayed in 15th in Xfinity driver points.
