Chandler Smith – No. 81 Barger Precast Toyota GR Supra Preview – Tennessee Lottery 250 at Nashville Superspeedway

No. 81 Barger Precast Toyota GR Supra News and Notes:

  • SMITH AT NASHVILLE: Chandler Smith has one NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) start at Nashville Superspeedway. Smith qualified second for last year’s race and was competitive all day, leading 74 laps during the race and winning Stage 2.  He started on the front row for the initial overtime restart, but was spun on the restart. Smith salvaged a 12th-place finish.
  • LOUDON RECAP: Smith started second at New Hampshire Motor Speedway last weekend. The race started on rain tires and Smith lost track position on that initial run. He managed to get the No. 81 back up into the top five, but spun later in the race. Smith finished 15th and is currently second in the NXS points standings.
  • ON THE PITBOX: Crew Chief of the No. 81, JeffMeendering, has visited Victory Lane 10 times as a NXS crew chief, most recently with Smith at Richmond in March 2024. His teams have collected 65 top-five finishes, 135 top-10 finishes, and 13 pole positions under his leadership.
  • JGR AT NASHVILLE: Joe Gibbs Racing has three Xfinity Series wins at Nashville Superspeedway accompanied by 15 top-fives, 29 top-10s, and 1,042 laps led. Joey Logano and Kyle Busch have both driven JGR cars to victory lane.
