Consistency Playing Key Role for Elliott in 2015 Championship Hunt

Time flies by when you’re having fun. And that’s certainly the case for defending NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) and NAPA AUTO PARTS driver Chase Elliott over the course of the last 15 races.

During the past 15 events, dating back to the July 4 race at Daytona International Speedway, Elliott has accumulated one win (Richmond International Raceway), five top-five and 12 top-10 finishes, along with 114 laps led at four different race tracks. It’s been a stretch where the 19-year-old Dawsonville, Ga. native has performed consistently and kept his championship chances alive. Now with only four races remaining this year, Elliott will need every scrap of consistency to make an offensive charge into a 26-point deficit in the championship standings.

This weekend at Kansas Speedway will mark the end of the grueling 16-race consecutive stretch. Kansas is one of two tracks Elliott has visited only once in his 62-race NXS career, with Homestead-Miami Speedway being the other. In his 2014 championship season, Elliott secured a 10th-place finish at Kansas.

Tune in Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. ET to see Elliott and the NAPA team from Kansas Speedway. MRN Radio/Sirius XM NASCAR Ch. 90 will carry the race starting at 3:30 p.m. ET.
