Riding high after a splendid run last weekend at Darlington, S.C., rookie Ross Chastain will attempt another big score in Friday night’s Virginia529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway.
Chastain finished a solid 10th in last week’s rough and tough race at Darlington Raceway, one of his best runs of his first season in the Xfinity Series.
“Darlington really gave us a boost,” Chastain said. “Getting a top 10 there is something special. It gives us some momentum going into Richmond, another track I really like.”
Chastain finished 17th in the JD Motorsports No. 4 Chevrolet at Richmond in the spring. This week he’ll be driving with sponsorship from Flex Seal.
His run at Darlington boosted him to 13th in Xfinity points.
