Landon Cassill used a strong finish to score an 18th-place run in Saturday’s Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
Cassill qualified 20th and ran in the teens most of the afternoon, putting the True Hire Chevrolet in a top spot of 16th before finishing on the lead lap.
The finish was Cassill’s eighth in the top 20 this season.
“It was a good day for us,” Cassill said. “We’re still getting used to the track, but we were able to cut some good laps and stay with the lead group.”
Cassill stayed in 19th place in Xfinity Series driver points.
