After fighting an ill-handling car, Dakoda Armstrong persevered through the race to come away with a great points night at Kentucky. Armstrong looks forward to New Hampshire to continue progress in the point standings. This weekend’s race will be just the third start for Armstrong at the flat, asphalt track. While he doesn’t have much experience at Loudon, Armstrong has had strong performances at other flat tracks like Martinsville and Phoenix. Currently, Armstrong sits 12th in the XFINITY Series Championship Point Standings.
Armstrong has a total of two starts at New Hampshire in different racing series, including one K&N East Series and one XFINITY Series start. In those two starts, he has one Top-15 finish. As an organization, RPM has a good history at the facility, with a Top-Five and Top-15 in two of its three XFINITY Series starts.

 “The two most important keys to success at New Hampshire are patience and good drive off the corner. The track is very flat, with long straightaways and tight corners. At tracks like Charlotte or Texas, you can carry a lot of speed through the corner because you have a lot of banking. At New Hampshire, you are hard on the brakes to get slowed down to make the corner. It’s very easy to overdrive the entry. Your car has to rotate really well through the corner and be stable under hard acceleration off exit. A solid rhythm and good adjustments throughout the race are a must to be competitive. We didn’t have the best showing last year, getting caught up in a late race wreck, but it gives us a lot of room for improvement. We’ve grown together as a team and continue to improve our program.
