The No. 43 WinField team has a pair of 16th place finishes at the last two 1.5-mile tracks. The team will work off of the notes from Texas to replicate the same speed that allowed them to lead laps there in the spring race.
Armstrong has a total of seven starts at the mile-and-a-half track in Chicago in different racing series, including one ARCA Racing Series, three Truck Series and three XFINITY Series starts. In those seven starts, he has two Top-15 and six Top-20 finishes with a best finish of 11th in the 2010 ARCA race.

“I think all of the XFINITY Series regulars are looking forward to this weekend. The standalone races give us a great opportunity to showcase our talent. We’re really hoping to make a statement at Chicago. The intermediate tracks have been our strength this year. We led a handful of laps back at Texas, and we want to get back to that level of performance. We’ve certainly improved overall compared to last year. This team works hard. I know everyone at the shop can see it, and we want to show everyone that dedication with a great finish this weekend.” RPM PR |
