Last Chance to Vote in ROUSH Performance Distractor Face Contest

Fans have just one more day to decide which FOX Sports personality will appear on the hood of Bubba Wallace’s No. 6 ROUSH Performance Ford Mustang for Saturday’s race at Chicagoland Speedway. Voting in the ROUSH Performance Distractor Face contest through social media using the hashtags #DistractorLarry, #DistractorDanielle and #DistractorJeff closes at 3pm on Wednesday, June 17.

After five days of voting, Danielle Trotta holds a narrow lead over fellow FOX personalities Larry McReynolds and Jeff Hammond. Trotta, McReynolds and Hammond previously appeared in Bubba Wallace’s “Midnight Run” promotional video, which debuted on FOX Sports 1’s NASCAR Race Hub program.

Wallace currently sits fifth in the NASCAR XFINITY Series points with 428. His strong rookie season has produced one top-five finish, four top-tens and one pole award.

“It’s awesome that we’re including the ROUSH Performance Distractor Face in our paint scheme for the upcoming race at Chicagoland Speedway,” said Wallace. “When I heard about this opportunity, the first thought that came to mind was ‘well, whose face do we put on the car?’ Coming off the launch of Bubba Wallace: Midnight Run, we thought it’d be a great idea to offer the spot to Fox Sports 1’s Danielle Trotta, Larry McReynolds and Jeff Hammond. It’ll be interesting to see who the fans pick. And who knows, with their help, maybe we’ll get us a win!”

The ROUSH Performance Distractor Face originated in 2012, when fans submitted photos of their own faces for a chance to appear on the rear bumper of Jack Roush Jr.’s No. 61 car in the Grand-Am series. The trend quickly spread across online racing communities, with fans attempting to come up with their favorite designs to distract the competition.

“We first announced the idea of the ROUSH Distractor Face on my road racing car at Mid-Ohio back in 2012,” said Jack Roush Jr.  “It’s awesome to see it now make its way into NASCAR on Bubba’s hood!  It should make for a great show.”
