Cassill Riding With Buddie Toys At MIS

Landon Cassill is going racing with a Buddie.

Buddie Toys, a Michigan-based company dedicated to matching children with fun and safe toys made in the United States, is sponsoring Landon Cassill’s JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet in Saturday’s Great Clips 250 Xfinity Series race at Michigan International Speedway.

Three “buddies,” the company’s colorful plastic toy designed to be the perfect hand-held toy for infants, will ride on Cassill’s hood during the race. The buddies are available in turquoise, purple and orange colors and, at seven inches in length and very pliable, are designed to be an excellent teething toy and one that will delight infants again and again.

“We have worked hard to find the right people, more specifically the ones that think outside the box, to create toys that can be trusted,” said Laura Ent, who owns and operates Buddie Toys along with her daughter, Carly Wester, and daughter-in-law, Ali Ent. “We want toys that are not only safe, but adorable, and made right here in the United States. We want safety to become a standard, not a trend, and one less thing that moms need to worry about.”

Buddies were introduced and put on sale recently by the Ann Arbor company. “There are no other toys like this,” Laura Ent said. “It’s an American-made toy that parents and kids will find delightful.”

Cassill, a veteran driver in both the Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series, said kids will love having Buddies.

“The guys on the team are going to love these for their kids,” Cassill said. “I remember having favorite toys when I was a kid, and this fits right into that group. It’s a great idea.”
