Harrison Rhodes will make his NASCAR national-series Richmond International Raceway debut in Friday night’s ToyotaCare 250 Xfinity Series race.
Rhodes, a rookie in his first full season in the Xfinity Series, has raced in a K&N East Series event at RIR, but Friday’s 250-lapper will be his first NASCAR national series race.
“I’ve watched so many races at Richmond I almost feel like I’ve driven there a lot,” Rhodes said. “I like the short tracks, and Richmond is almost the perfect size. I’m sure the guys will have a great car for me there.”
Despite failing to qualify for the season-opening race at Daytona, Rhodes is 24th in driver points entering the eighth race of the year.
