Landon Cassill finished 32nd in Saturday’s DAV 200 Nationwide Series race at Phoenix International Raceway after a blown tire caused him to crash.
Cassill’s Flex Seal Chevrolet blew a right-front tire 81 laps into the race, and the damage forced him to park for the rest of the day. He had run as high as 15th before the issue.
“It wasn’t a good day in the desert for us,” said team owner Johnny Davis. “But we’ll be ready for next week. We’re taking our best stuff to Homestead.”
Next week’s race at Homestead-Miami Speedway will end the Nationwide season.
