Jeffrey Earnhardt returns to Kentucky Speedway this weekend hoping to improve on his finish in the Nationwide Series race earlier this year.
Earnhardt finished 23rd in June at Kentucky.
“It’s a track I like,” Earnhardt said of the 1.5-mile facility. “We ran well there in June but didn’t get the finish we were looking for. With more laps in, I hope we can show some big improvement this time.”
Earnhardt will be driving the No. 4 Bandit Industries/GCL Construction/Polyglass Chevrolet for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller.
The VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300 is scheduled Saturday at Kentucky. It’s the 27th race of the season.
Earnhardt has raced in two Nationwide and one Camping World Truck Series event at Kentucky.
Practice is scheduled at 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. Friday. Qualifying is set for 4:10 p.m. Saturday, with the race to follow at 7:30.
Earnhardt is 18th in Nationwide driver points entering the race.
