Jared Fogle, Orange City All-Stars 11-12 year-old Little League Baseball Team to serve as Grand Marshals for SUBWAY Jalapeno 250

Jared Fogle, the SUBWAY® Guy, will join the Orange City All-Stars, an 11-12 year-old Little League baseball team from Orange City, Florida, as Grand Marshals for the SUBWAY® Jalapeno 250 Powered By Coca-Cola NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Friday night, July 1.

They will give the starting command, “Gentlemen start your engines,” in Friday’s 100-lap, 250-mile race.  They will also be introduced at the driver’s meeting and participate in the driver introductions prior to the green flag.

“It’s a great honor to be joined by the Orange City All-Stars to give the official starting command at the historic Daytona International Speedway,” said Fogle.  “SUBWAY® has been a longtime supporter of NASCAR and Little League Baseball, and bringing both partners together here in Daytona creates a fun and exciting way to showcase the SUBWAY® Baseball DeSIGNS tour to a passionate group of NASCAR fans.”

SUBWAY® invited the team, coaches and their families to Daytona International Speedway as part of its partnership with Little League Baseball and in support of the SUBWAY® Baseball DeSIGNS national tour, which will be in the Sprint FANZONE on Friday, July 2.  The SUBWAY® Baseball DeSIGNS tour supports Little League’s Urban Initiative and consists of more than 40 baseballs designed by Little Leaguers and signed by celebrities including NASCAR driver Carl Edwards.

Fans can visit the Official SUBWAY® Facebook page or SubwayKids.com to view the baseballs.
