The odds weren’t with Jeffrey Earnhardt in Las Vegas. He ended a rough day in Saturday’s Boyd Gaming 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with a 33rd-place finish in the Flex Seal Chevrolet.
Only nine cars finished the race on the lead lap as Sprint Cup invaders again dominated. Brad Keselowski won the race, edging Kyle Busch.
The race was Earnhardt’s third in the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet.
“We had a tough start and couldn’t get the car handling like we wanted,” Earnhardt said. “Just one of those days. Now we roll on to Bristol.”
The series races at Bristol Motor Speedway in the Tennessee mountains this week.
Earnhardt dropped three spots in the Nationwide standings to 20th.
