Ingersoll Rand will be on board the No. 44 TriStar Motorsports Camry this weekend at Phoenix International Raceway with NASCAR Nationwide Series rookie, Will Kimmel behind the wheel.
Kimmel will turn his first laps on the one-mile, tri-oval on Friday during Nationwide Series practice and he will take the green flag on Saturday for his second career Nationwide Series start. Kimmel’s previous Nationwide Series start came back in 2011 when he raced at Kentucky Speedway. After qualifying 15th, Kimmel finished in the 35th position.
This Indiana native is also the nephew of 10-time ARCA Racing Series Champion Frank Kimmel. Kimmel has had an enduring relationship with Ingersoll Rand since 2012. In addition to running a limited Nationwide Series schedule with TriStar Motorsports, Kimmel will continue to run in the ARCA Series for Kimmel Racing in 2014.
