Sponsor Sticks with Ty Dillon for 11 NASCAR Nationwide Series Races in 2014

Ty Dillon moves full time to the NASCAR Nationwide Series to take over the ride that his older brother Austin just won the series title with in 2013. Moving with Ty Dillon from the Camping World Truck Series is primary sponsor Bass Pro Shops/Tracker Boats.

Bass Pro Shops/Tracker Boats will serve as primary sponsor on Ty Dillon’s Richard Childress Racing No. 3 Chevrolet in 11 Nationwide Series races in 2014. The first of those races will be the season opening DRIVE4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway.

“All of us here at Bass Pro Shops couldn’t be more pleased to continue our friendship and business relationship with our long-time friend Richard Childress and his family,” said Johnny Morris, founder of Bass Pro Shops. “We’re happy to continue our sponsorship with Ty Dillon as he advances to the Nationwide Series next year.”

In two full time seasons in the Truck Series with Bass Pro Shops as his primary sponsor Dillon scored three wins and finished fourth in points in 2012 and second in 2013.

“I’m a hunter and a fisherman and share Johnny Morris’ passion for the outdoors, so it’s special to have the support of Bass Pro Shops and Tracker Boats,” Ty Dillon said. “It means a lot to me that Johnny and everyone at Bass Pro Shops are going to follow me to the NASCAR Nationwide Series. We’ve accomplished a lot together in the past couple of years. We won some races for them, a championship in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, and the Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.”

Ty Dillon has made 12 career starts in the Nationwide Series over the past two seasons with four top 10 finishes and an average finish of 16.3.

Yuengling Light Lager was announced earlier as a primary sponsor for eight races on Dillon’s car for 2014 to bring the total races sponsored so far to 19 of the 33 scheduled races.
