Cassill returns to No. 4 for Dover

After a week away, Landon Cassill will return to the seat of the No. 4 JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet for Saturday’s 5-Hour Energy 200 Nationwide Series race at Dover International Speedway.

Cassill, who races full-time on the Sprint Cup tour, missed last week’s Nationwide race at Kentucky Speedway.

In the Nationwide circuit’s first visit to Dover this year in June, Cassill finished 22nd.

“I like Dover because it’s a fast track and you can make up positions quickly if your car can move from one groove to another,” Cassill said. “You have to find a happy balance between speed and handling. Hopefully, we can improve on our run in the first race there.”

In his most recent outing in the No. 4 car, Cassill finished 22nd at Chicagoland Speedway.

Practice is scheduled at Dover at 12:40 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying is set for noon Saturday, with the race to follow at 3:30 p.m.
