Mike Bliss Kentucky race report

Mike Bliss Race Summary: Driver of the No. 19 Toyota Camry for TriStar Motorsports Mike Bliss finished 26th in Saturday night’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Kentucky Speedway.  The Oregon native started in the 23rd position and set his sights on the front of the field until the competition caution on lap 25.  The conditions of Bliss’ Toyota Camry went from loose to tight throughout the 200 lap event. Adding insult to injury, while making a green flag pit stop on lap 160, Bliss’ crew experienced equipment failure which ultimately caused him to lose four laps and restart 27th.  The TriStar Motorsports driver was able to gain one spot in the closing laps of the race to finish 26th. Bliss will look for redemption next weekend at Dover International Speedway.

Bliss: “I had probably a top-20 car for most of the night. The equipment failure during our green flag pit stop really hurt us. It was late in the event and we had no time to make up the lost positions.  It was really hard to evaluate my car when we were in traffic. We started out loose, like we were in qualifying, but in the end we were too tight to really do anything.”
