Landon Cassill will drive a Nationwide Series car at Watkins Glen International this weekend for the first time in five years.
Cassill will be back in the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet for Saturday’s Zippo 200 at The Glen, the second road-course race of the season for the Nationwide Series.
Cassill ran in the 2008 Nationwide race at the Glen, finishing 31st.
Last season, he finished 23rd in the Sprint Cup Series’ visit to the fast road course.
“Watkins Glen is one of the most challenging road courses because it’s so fast practically all the way around,” Cassill said. “But that makes it a lot of fun, too.”
Saturday’s race will be the second of three road-course events for Nationwide drivers this year. Next week, the tour visits Mid-Ohio.
