After starting alongside teammate Mike Wallace deep in the field, Landon Cassill drove to a 21st-place finish in Sunday’s STP 300 Nationwide Series race at Chicagoland Speedway.
Cassill qualified 33rd and started the 200-lap race on the same row with JD Motorsports with Gary Keller teammate Wallace.
Cassill made up a dozen positions in the first half of the race and raced in 21st for most of the second half.
He finished two laps behind race winner Joey Logano, who scored his second victory of the Nationwide season.
The Nationwide Series moves on to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for Saturday’s Indiana 250. The race will mark the second appearance for the Nationwide drivers at Indy.
