Bluegrass State…Coming off of a second-place finish at Road America, Allgaier will make his sixth start at Kentucky Speedway. This weekend’s race is the first of two night races for the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) this season at the 1.5-mile oval. Allgaier has qualified in the top 10 for all five of his Kentucky starts, and has two top-five and four top-10 finishes.
DASH 4 CASH…This weekend’s race at Kentucky Speedway will serve as the Qualifier for the first Dash 4 Cash race at Daytona International Speedway on July 5. The top-four finishers in the Feed The Children 300 running for NNS championship driver points are eligible for the first Dash 4 Cash bonus in Daytona.
This Week’s Camaro…This weekend the No. 31 BRANDT Chevrolet team will utilize chassis TSM-330. TSM-330 has been used twice this season: Auto Club Speedway and Darlington Raceway.
Recapping Road America…Allgaier qualified fourth for the Johnsonville Sausage 200 at Road America. The 4.048-mile, 14-turn road course did not have a lack of action with eight restarts, including two attempts at a green/white/checkered finish to make the race five laps longer than originally scheduled. Allgaier led lap 43 and was passed by AJ Allmendinger, who he battled for the race lead the remainder of the day. Allgaier ultimately finished second at Road America in the No. 31 BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevrolet Camaro. Allgaier moved up to second in the NNS Driver Point Standings.
In-Car Camera…The No. 31 BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevrolet Camaro will have an in-car camera sponsored by Chevy for the race broadcast. This weekend’s 13th Annual Feed The Children 300 can be seen live on ESPN on Friday, June 28 at 7:00 p.m. EDT. You can also listen to the race on PRN Radio and SiriusXM Satellite Radio, channel 90 beginning at 7:00 p.m. EDT.
Midwest Dirt Racing…Following the NNS race on Friday night, Allgaier will head to Lincoln Speedway to race his UMP DIRT Modified in the BRANDT Twin 60s on Sunday, June 30. Allgaier will sign autographs 3:30-5:30 p.m. local time, hot laps begin at 6:00 p.m. and the race begins at 7:00 p.m. Lincoln Speedway is located in Lincoln, Ill. on the Logan County Fairgrounds.
