Tune-In to New Weekly Racing Show on MC22 Produced by Mediacom

Race fans will soon be able to enjoy exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes coverage of the 2011 racing season at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa, thanks to a new weekly television show produced by Mediacom. The program, featuring Iowa Speedway’s Director of Marketing Laura Manatt and KIX 101.1’s morning show personality Todd Collins, will debut on Mediacom Channel 22 (MC22) on May 18 and run through mid-August.

The weekly, 30-minute program will air on Wednesdays at 10 p.m., Fridays at 4 p.m., and Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. on MC22. Viewers can catch the feature stories, race highlights and special events coverage at their convenience using Mediacom’s OnDemand Channel. The show will be broadcast to Mediacom customers in more than 300 Iowa communities and Illinois, Minnesota and Missouri markets.

Mediacom and Iowa Speedway are encouraging racing fans to submit suggestions for their untitled television program via Iowa Speedway’s Facebook fan page by May 6. The winner will be announced during the first show.

Mediacom, Iowa’s leading cable television and broadband provider, is also sponsoring the state-of-the-art Media Center at Iowa Speedway, enabling media outlets to enjoy digital cable television at the track.

The public is invited to tour Iowa Speedway Mediacom Media Center during the Open House event from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 7. Race fans are encouraged to tune-in to MC22 on Wednesday, May 18 at 10 p.m. to get a preview of the 2011 racing season, which officially begins on Saturday, May 21.
