New Schedule, Pricing, Perks Result In Nearly 31 Percent Increase In New Season-Ticket Sales

Texas Motor Speedway’s “No Limits” marketing campaign, which carried a primary focus of attracting new fans to the sport while retaining its most loyal, is witnessing nearly a 31 percent increase in new season-ticket holders from a year ago.

The increase has been boosted by a huge surge since the season-opening Daytona 500 on Feb. 20, where Texas Motor Speedway has seen a 143 percent spike of new season-ticket accounts in just under a one-month period compared to a year ago at this time. The 2010 season-ticket base also has been very receptive to the “No Limits” benefits as Texas Motor Speedway currently is running at an 87 percent renewal rate.

“It’s a basic principle – give the fans what they want,” Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage said. “We’ve added more value and more benefits to our season tickets, helping fans have even more of a unique experience when they visit ‘The Great American Speedway!’ ”

To help entice new season ticket holders as well as current ones to renew, Texas Motor Speedway unveiled a revamped racing schedule, new savings and an array of new benefits when it announced the “No Limits” campaign last August.

The schedule was enhanced with the April NASCAR weekend now featuring the first-ever Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series evening races in the 15-year history of the speedway – the NNS O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 on Friday, April 8 and NSCS Samsung Mobile 500 on Saturday, April 9 – and the June INDYCAR weekend showcasing the first twin races – the Firestone Twin 275s on Saturday, June 11 – in the history of the speedway and the IZOD IndyCar Series, along with its traditional pairing with the Camping World Truck Series WinStar World Casino 400k. The Texas Motor Speedway race season will continue to close in November with its traditional AAA Texas 500 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup race (Nov. 6) that is accompanied by the Nationwide Series O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge (Nov. 5) and Camping World Truck Series WinStar World Casino 350k (Nov. 4).

In terms of season ticket pricing, Texas Motor Speedway is offering packages starting as low as $270 and others carrying up to a 15 percent savings compared to 2010 season-ticket pricing. The savings was coupled with numerous new perks such as exclusive access to the “No Limits” Garage Party; discounted pit passes, camping, parking (including Tailgater Monthly Pit Stop Park), concessions and merchandise; and tickets to other speedway events.
