Cole Custer takes in Florida Panthers game ahead of Ford Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway

As the NASCAR playoffs continue to progress, Cole Custer, driver of the No. 00 Ford Mustang in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, visited South Florida on Tuesday in advance of Ford Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway, November 15-17. Custer attended the Florida Panthers hockey game against the Carolina Hurricanes at the BB&T Center where he participated in numerous pre-game and in-game activities.

Custer was greeted by the Panthers players and got a behind-the-scenes tour of their locker room. He also took part in the Homestead-Miami Speedway display outside the arena, signing autographs and interacting with fans among other events.

“It was awesome to see the Florida Panthers, the locker room and to meet some players,” Custer said. “I saw a lot of NASCAR fans outside the stadium, and it was really cool to learn more about what they do here.”

Custer is currently in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs, where he secured his spot into the Round of 8 after winning his seventh race of the season last weekend at Dover International Speedway. The Stewart-Haas Racing driver is a former winner at Homestead-Miami Speedway (2017) and is appearing in his third playoffs.
