Ma Nature Forces Grandview To Cancel, Firecracker 40 Reset for July 13 Part of Tripleheader

For the second straight Saturday and third time this season weather conditions made it impossible for NASCAR stock car racing to be presented at Grandview Speedway. A heavy shower with a forecast of more rain to come forced the decision to cancel.

The annual Firecracker 40 featuring the T.P.Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman stock cars has now be rescheduled for Saturday, July 13th as part of Hatfield Quality Meats Night. The T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 will be part of the tripleheader action that will also feature the Blast from the Past Vintage Racers.

Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. while racing gets the green flag at 7:30 p.m. Adults are admitted for $22 while youngsters 6 through 11 get to see the racing action for just $5. Kids under 6 are admitted free.

And on Saturday, July 20th, T.P.Trailers and Truck Equipment Night will feature for the first time this season the action packed United Racing Club Sprint cars along with the NASCAR 358 Modifieds and NASCAR Sportsman. Adult admission will be $25, youngsters 6 thru 11 pay $5 and those under 6 are admitted free.
