Mahoning Valley Speedway’s annual Fan Appreciation Night takes place this Saturday, June 1 and over the years it has become one of the most highly attended shows of the season and for good reason too, at just $8 general admission it’s a deal you can’t pass up as seven classes of stock cars will be in action. Please note there are no discounts this night.
Modifieds, Late Models, Street Stocks, Sportsman Modifieds, Dirt Mods, Pro 4s and Hobby Stocks will make up the card of racing.
Fans and drivers always look forward to this night for not just the great markdown at the front gate that leads to a filled house, but also for the extended intermission. At that portion of the program all cars come onto the track for a special driver meet and greet. Teams are loaded up with all sorts of handouts in addition to autographs and snapshots aplenty.
Because of the special extended intermission which is geared to accommodate all fans and the 100-plus expected race cars, the start time is moved up to 5:00 pm. Front gates will open at 3:30.
Pit gates will open at 11:30 am. Early paid practice will be held from noon to 2:45. Regular warmups will start at 3:15. Driver sign-ins are from 2:00 – 3:15. Heats start at 5:00.
Mahoning Valley Speedway will not only be busy with $8 admission Fan Appreciation Night but also will be hustling at Pocono Raceway all weekend too as part of a special cross promotion in conjunction with the upcoming General Tire#AnywhereIsPossible 200 ARCA Menards Series race on Friday, May 31, the Pocono Green 250 Recycled by J.P. Mascaro & Sons NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Saturday, June 1 and Sunday’s June 2 Pocono 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race.
Throughout the weekend Mahoning Valley will have a special display located under the main grandstands.
Coming up on Saturday, June 8 is a regular show of Modifieds, Late Models, Street Stocks, Dirt Mods, Pro 4s and Hobby Stocks plus the rain-postponed Street Stock feature from the May 4 Ward Crozier Sr. Memorial. June 8 race time returns to the regular 6:00 pm start.
