Bank of America Customers Receive Free IMS Museum Admission the First Full Weekend of Each Month Through ‘Museums on Us®’ Program

The opening weekend of May is a perfect time to take advantage of Bank of America’s popular Museums on Us® program at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. Thanks to the IMS Museum’s membership in Museums on Us, all Bank of America, Merrill Lynch and U.S. Trust credit or debit card holders receive one free admission ticket to IMS Museum the first full weekend of each month.
Now in its 22nd year, Bank of America’s Museums on Us has 225 participatory cultural institutions across the United States, giving its cardholders access to some of the world’s foremost historic collections and centers of learning.
“With the May 1 opening of our “Mario Andretti: ICON” exhibit and an impressive array of Indianapolis 500-winning cars on display from our collection, plus iconic cars on loan from Team Penske and Andretti Autosport, May 4 and 5 are the perfect days for Bank of America customers to take advantage of Museums on Us,” said Betsy Smith, IMS Museum Executive Director.
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is coming alive with preparations for the NTT IndyCar Series’ INDYCAR Grand Prix on the IMS road course, May 10-11, and the 103rd Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge. Practice for “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” begins May 14, and the green flag drops on the 2019 “500” at noon on Sunday, May 26.
“Mario Andretti: ICON” presented by Shell V-Power Nitro+ Premium Gasoline is a journey not only through Andretti’s illustrious career, but five decades of global motorsports history. The exhibit runs through November 10.
On display at the IMS Museum through mid-November, as well, is “Team Penske’s First 500,” a mini-exhibit of significant Penske cars and artifacts, and four of Andretti Autosport’s Indianapolis 500-winning cars are on display through May. Andretti Autosport is owned and managed by Mario’s son, fellow IMS Hall of Fame member Michael Andretti.
