IMS Museum’s 2019 “Month of May” Hours Begin May 4 for Track Activity Days

A friendly reminder to the thousands of visitors planning to visit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum during the 2019 “Month of May:” Starting with the 500 Festival Mini-Marathon on Saturday, May 4, the IMS Museum’s public hours will mirror the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s public gate hours.
The IMS Museum is full – literally and figuratively – of global motorsports history this month. The Museum’s featured exhibit, “Mario Andretti: ICON” presented by Shell V-Power Nitro+ Premium Gasoline, opened to rave reviews on May 1 and runs through November 10.
The mini-exhibit, “Team Penske’s First 500,” showcases the team’s rich history at IMS through IndyCar Series cars and NASCAR Cup Series stock cars, and four of Andretti Autosport’s Indianapolis 500-winning cars, including Dan Wheldon’s 2005 winner and Alexander Rossi’s 100th Indianapolis 500-winning car, are at the Museum.
Adjusted hours are in effect only on track activity days leading up to and including the 103rd Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge, including Race Day for the NTT IndyCar Series’ INDYCAR GP. On days without track activity (except May 23), the Museum is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (ET).
