Austin Hill, Brett Moffitt Top Speed Charts In Practice For Vankor 350 at Texas Motor Speedway

Austin Hill and Brett Moffitt topped the speed charts in the second and final practice for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series in preparation for Friday night’s Vankor 350 at Texas Motor Speedway.

 Hill, a native of Winston, Ga., drove the No. 16 Toyota Tundra to a fast lap of 29.061 seconds at 185.816 mph on the 1.5-mile oval. His best lap was 0.006-of-a-second quicker than that of Moffitt’s lap of 29.067 at 185.778 in the No. 24 Chevrolet.

In the day’s first practice session, Johnny Sauter set the pace in the No. 13 Ford with a lap of 29.098 at 185.580. Second in the session was the No. 98 Ford of Grant Enfinger at 29.130 at 185.376.

Sports Day Qualifying Powered by The Dallas Morning News for the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series is scheduled for 4:10 p.m. Friday. Green-flag racing for the 147-lap Vankor 350 is scheduled for 8:10 p.m.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series will take to the Texas Motor Speedway tri-oval Friday for the first time. Practice for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 begins at 2:05 p.m. and three-round Sports Day Qualifying Powered by The Dallas Morning News will roll off at 6:40 p.m.

Practice for the My Bariatric Solutions 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series hits the track for its first practice at 3:05 p.m. with final practice at 5:35 p.m. Sports Day Qualifying Powered by The Dallas Morning News is scheduled for Saturday at 9:10 a.m. and green-flag racing for the 200-lap My Bariatric Solutions 300 begins at 12:16 p.m.
